Keebler Has Now Released A One-of-a-Kind Pie Crust

Thanksgiving is almost approaching, which can only mean one thing: it’s pie period, baby! It’s pie season, and anything from pumpkin to pecans, apples, and everything in between is available to fill your pie hole. We’re constantly seeking ideas and strategies to elevate your pie from acceptable to pro-level, whether you buy it at the store or prepare it yourself.

Keebler, the company behind nostalgic cookies and those lovely elves, is bringing an entirely new prepared pie crust to shops like you’ve never seen before. Prepare to enter a sweet-and-salty pie nirvana.

“Swicy” (sweet and spicy) may be having a moment, but “salty,” meaning sweet and salty, is the culinary trend of the year (and probably all the time). Sweet and salty delicacies have dominated social media this year, from Fruckies to potato chip rice crispy treats.

Keebler and its diligent elves are joining the salty fun by extending their range of ready-to-eat pie crusts to go where any store-bought crust has gone previously: the salty side. Keebler now offers a pretzel pie crust in addition to its graham cracker, shortbread, cacao, and Grasshopper (chocolate-mint) pie crusts.

Pretzel pie crust is suitable for both baked and no-bake pies. We can already imagine how delicious this would be with a chocolate-peanut oil pie filling or an apple caramel pie filling. We already like substituting soda crackers for graham crackers in citrus pies, so utilizing the pretzel pie crust for lemon meringue or key lime pie is a no-brainer. It might also be used to create a portable pie version of our favorite strawberry pretzel salad.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the legendary Christmas film “Elf,” Keebler is releasing a limited-edition version of their famous Fudge Stripes cookies. Gingerbread Fudge Stripes are made with a gingerbread cookie foundation with a white fudge dip and drizzle.

They also come in four festive designs inspired by fan-favorite film sequences and unique “Elf” packaging. The “Elf” Limited-Edition Keebler Molasses Fudge Stripes and Pretzels Pie Crusts are available nationally and online, anywhere Keebler goods are sold.

These are just a few of the “Elf”-themed items that will be available at grocery shops this winter. It’s looking like the Christmas season will have a place for everyone on the pleasant list.
